The Eco Council at Woburn Lower School represent each class from Reception to Year 4. We are voted for democratically by our classmates. Each half term the Eco Council meet to discuss our aims and how best to improve our school environment and the world around us. We are helped by our Eco Teacher Mrs Black.
We are very proud to have been awarded the Eco Schools Bronze Award and are currently working to obtain the Eco Schools Silver Award.
Our goal is to help our school and wider community become even more eco-friendly as we work towards the Eco Schools Green Flag Award. We get involved in discussions and share our thoughts and ideas, as well as those of our classmates which we represent. We develop skills in communication, self-confidence, negotiation and independence as we influence decisions that are made in our school.
